Make sure that new updates are applied as soon as they're available (monthly) with no set schedule. All Windows 10 devices must be included in the deployment. Install the latest version of the Office 365 apps.
msi versions of the applications on the Windows 10 devices. Excel, OneDrive Desktop, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word are the only apps installed. The Office 365 apps must be assigned the Productivity category. Jared compares his requirements to the Configuration Designer settings (in the illustration below). He's tracking the installation using the Manage Apps entry, and he notices that for each device, the app installation sits at Install Pending before it finally fails.
Jared has just added an Intune deployment (from Endpoint Manager) to install Office 365 apps on all the company-owned Windows 10 laptops. The IT department uses Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Intune (as the MDM) to enroll and manage these devices. All the company-owned laptops are currently running Windows 10 version 1909 (64-bit). Jared is a system administrator for an international trading company.
