No matter what I look up I only get old posts that don't really help me out that much. I've been having this issue with FNIS for around 30 mins and it's getting very frustrating. It's my first time using it and my friend who was helping me sadly went to bed.
Of course, a person has to be willing to put in the time to do it properly - if not, they usually end up posting in the forums (my usual response is to recommend that they read the pinned topic - something simple, yet often not done).After some pressure from my friends (and many CTD while trying to play) I switched from Vortex to MO2. And it was all time well spent, as I have a completely stable game (original, not SSE) with 696 mods and 510 total plugins merged down to 252 (and this on a pretty poor PC). Absolutely! I've spent more hours researching mods and, once I've selected the mods I want, editing them in TES5Edit to ensure compatibility, than I've actually spent playing the game. If the mod creator doesn't provide support or feedback to people's queries or problems I usually steer well clear of the mod itself. I also usually check over the comments section in mods that seem a bit complex, just to see if there are any issues.
And who knows better than the mod author themself about the possible problems with their mod.Yeah, I always check the mod creator's comments about any incompatibilites with other mods before installing.
